The fashion industry is the 2nd largest consumer of the world's water supply.
Cotton farming is extremely water-consuming. For instance, The Aral Sea which was used to irrigate Uzbekistan’s cotton crops since the 1950s, has completely dried up in 2014.
You will not believe the amount of water that goes into making one cotton tee.
It takes 2,720 litres of water to make a t-shirt, which is equivalent to around 3.5 years of drinking water for a person!
