Textile dyeing is the world’s second largest polluter of water, and the leftover water from the dyeing process is often dumped into ditches, streams, or rivers.
People have died from the pollution incurred by the making of our clothes.
Chemically polluted water leaves locals without access to drinking water and suffering from a long list of health problems. Numerous deaths have been reported.
